Grab your walking shoes and follow the paths of a hike that will take you to the top of Mont Veyrier and offer you a panoramic view of Lake Annecy.

You will ascend on quiet forest trails, catching glimpses between the trees of the marvellous views that await, higher up. Not long before the top, we will pass by the Col de Contrabandier (smugglers pass) and an exciting steep, rocky section, well protected with chains and a barrier.

On the summit, the trail follows the very crest of the ridge and offers stunning photo opportunities galore. We will find the best spot to enjoy a picnic of fresh, locally sourced produce while drinking in the views. During lunch, your guide will explain more about the local cuisine, the culture and the history of the lake and town.

The route can be lengthened or shortened by your Experience Mont Blanc guide to meet the needs of your group and a half day option is also available.

Take advantage of the end of afternoon to wander around the old town of Annecy and visit the old prisons or the famous Château d'Annecy!

Using fresh and seasonal produce straight from the Annecy market, you will discover the local cuisine and enjoy traditional dishes accompanied by a culinary guide.

On market days, you will start your day at 9am to visit the local market in the old town of Annecy, located in the heart of the historic centre.

Accompanied by your culinary guide, you will meet the local producers of cheese, fruit and vegetables. She will share with you her knowledge of local specialities, and her tips for selecting the right products. Together you will buy the ingredients to make your own meal.

You will then cook an exquisite seasonal French meal!
